Balloon Safari in Serengeti National Park

A very popular excursion that can be added on to any safari that includes a night in the Serengeti Park, at any of the lodges or camp.

Serengeti Balloon Safari is probably the most beautiful balloon flight in Africa and the ultimate Safari Experience which makes you enjoy the most beautiful migration of wildebeests through the endless plain of Serengeti. At 5:00 am, Serengeti Balloon Safaris will collect you from your lodge or camp, and transfer you by their vehicle to the balloon launch site. Here you will meet your pilot, receive a briefing and watch the inflation of your balloon. At dawn you take off, rising as the sun rises and float in whichever direction the winds of the morning take you. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon: sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife below.

On landing, you are met by the ground support team with a bottle of champagne. Then it off to the breakfast table, which will have been set up under a fine umbrella tree close to the landing spot. You are served a full cooked English breakfast with some tropical additions – a fine spread served on bone china with silver cutlery and crystal glasses. The balloon safari is complete at around 9.30 a.m., you are taken to the rendezvous point to meet with your driver guide and continue with your full day game drives.

At around 5:00am, you will be picked up from your lodge or camp and transferred to the launch site. Typically, flights take off at sunrise. Take-off sites can vary depending on the weather but all are easily accessible. On landing, guest are served breakfast on the river banks as they enjoy panoramic views of the Tarangire River and the cool breeze through the baobab trees. After the breakfast, you are taken to the rendezvous point to meet with your driver guide and continue with your full day game drives.
